This book gives the experiences and incidents on the trail and trap-line by Mr. E. N. Woodcock, who for fifty years has hunted and trapped bears, fox, marten, otter, and other fur bearers in Pennsylvania. He relates interesting accounts and happenings on trips through the South; also of woods life in earlier days. He tells how he built bear deadfalls and how he caught them in steel traps, perils he had encountered, some days of extra good luck, some cases of "buck fever," etc. The book is interestingly and instructively written from cover to cover. It contains 21 illustrations, 318 pages with 36 chapters.
